Employment tribunal cases usually cost around £3500 (including VAT). This is, however, an average cost and every case is different. A very simple case may cost significantly less, whilst very complicated ones cost £15,000 or more. If the case goes to a hearing of any kind you will also need to consider paying for a barrister to represent you, which will cost around £500 for a simple hearing and over £1000 for a complex one. We will, of course, discuss all of these costs with you at the time.

If you are an employee entering into a settlement agreement with your employer we will always try and advise you for the amount of the contribution to fees offered by your employer (which is typically around £600). However, if this is not possible we will always discuss options with you.
